Bodrum → Gokova Gulf

Bodrum – Gulf of Gökova – Bodrum Itinerary

This 8-day blue cruise showcases the best of the Gulf of Gökova—turquoise bays, peaceful islands, and rich historical landmarks. From the crystal-clear waters of Orak and the Seven Islands to the legendary Cleopatra Beach on Sedir Island, each day offers new places to explore and relax. The journey ends with a tranquil final night at Black Island.

Day 1

Bodrum

Boarding begins at 14:30 at the Port of Bodrum. With a history dating back to the 12th century B.C., Bodrum—known in antiquity as Halicarnassus—was the birthplace of Herodotus, the “Father of History.” The city is home to remarkable landmarks, including the Mausoleum of King Mausolus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the ancient Amphitheatre, one of Anatolia’s oldest, still hosting events today.

Another iconic site is the Castle of Saint Peter, built in the Medieval period and now home to the world’s largest underwater archaeology museum. Visitors should also not miss the historic Myndos Gate, where Alexander the Great entered Halicarnassus.

While our staff provides information about your cruise program, the captain will complete the port departure formalities. Around 16:00, the yacht sets sail for the first swimming stop at Poyraz Bay, near Black Island.

Day 2

Day 2

Orak Island

Start your day by enjoying breakfast. Our first stop is Orak Island. After lunch and a swimming or diving break in its crystal-blue waters, the captain will set sail for Çökertme, a small fishing village where you can take a relaxing walk along its beautiful coastline.

Day 3

Seven Islands & Kufre Bay

Right after breakfast in the early morning, we will sail to the Seven Islands. You will begin another beautiful day in this region, where numerous small islands lie close to one another. This area is perfect for swimming, diving, relaxing, and enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. Guests can also take a walk through the surrounding pine forests.

Our first stop in the Seven Islands region is Kufre Bay. We will then dock at Uzun Liman (Long Port) before 5:00 p.m. for tea time, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Day 4

Tuzla Bay & English Port

After breakfast and a short sail, we will dock at Tuzla Bay to enjoy a swim in its turquoise-blue waters. Morning swims will quickly become one of your daily pleasures. For lunch, the captain will set sail for Longoz Bay, another paradise surrounded by vast pine forests. After lunch, you may take a peaceful walk through the forest and relax at Ali Baba’s local café.

We will then continue sailing to English Port for dinner and an overnight stay. The name “English Port” comes from World War II, when British naval ships used this area for anchorage. This region is filled with many beautiful bays, both large and small, ideal for mooring.

Day 5

Cleopatra Beach

We will sail to Sedir (Kedrae) Island, a unique destination with a small beach and unbelievably clear waters, often described as an open-air museum. Here, you can see ancient city walls, ruins from the Dorian period (later restored as a church), a 1,500-seat amphitheater, and several domed historical structures. You can stroll among the remains of pillars with antique inscriptions and other ancient stone artifacts.

The famous Cleopatra Beach, located on this island, is known for its exceptionally fine sand—found only in the deserts of Northern Africa. Removing even a small amount of this sand from the island is strictly prohibited. According to legend, King Antonius brought this sand from Egypt by sea as a gift for Cleopatra.

After exploring the island, we will sail to Karacasöğüt Village for dinner and an overnight stay.
